Ah, our little Calvin is in love.

The sentiment is overwhelming.

Well, at least he didn’t say, “I love your cooties more than you.” It’s the best you can ask for at 6 years old.

But he noticed her. And that’s the thing!

Hobbes grin in panel #2 is the greatest thing ever inked.

why, calvin, you little charmer!

What a sweet talker.

I gave one to my sweetie last year that said, “I tolerate your existence.” We still laugh about it.

Poor Hobbes; having to wait another year (or more) for his smoochies!

I thought that he grows up to partner with Miss Plainwell.

I knew it was too good to be true.

She’ll probably tell her mom or Miss. Wormwood.

Susie thinks to herself: omg! he’s crazy about me!(she’s 6, she knows the playground code) ;)

If Calvin didn’t like her, he wouldn’t go to the trouble.

Calvin is just striking a blow against the commercialization of Valentine’s Day. (Plus, he’s always been resentful that he was too young to take part in the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre!)

I’m single so Valentine’s Day doesn’t apply to me. I’m sure it’s a day to make us single people feel ashamed that we’re not in a relationship.

As for Calvin’s message to Susie, I would say that to a few certain trolls on here.

It’s a love/hate thing

Your nose is red,Your toes are blue, You make me sick to my stomach too.

It’s kinda complicated,but the love-hate switch of a six year old can flip either way rather quickly as I recall. Come to think of it,so can a sixty year old’s!

Calvin is practicing for when Susie is his ex.
