Cathy: I dreamed of a homemade strawberry pie. I controlled myself with the healthy alternative of fresh strawberries. I still dreamed of the pie. I refocused with fat-free strawberry yogurt. I still dreamed of the pie. I substituted a straw-berry-filled cereal bar. I still dreamed of the pie. I had a strawberry smoothie, strawberry roll-up, strawberry Jell-o, strawberry trail mix and strawberry jam on a whole package of rice cakes. "Didn't eat pie: 946 calories."

Sometimes a little bit of what you really want is all you need to satisfy a craving. Other times you just need to go find something else to occupy your mind and stop the obsession. I indulge if I know it’s really, really good pie/cake/chocolate/etc.

I really wish Cathy G would donate some of her artwork to StripCreator.com so that I could put together a comic scene in which Butch from Chopping Block performs surgery to remove those parts of Cathy’s brain that allows such impulses regarding food, etc…
Okay, kids. Next Sunday’s comic will feature 8 panes of Cathy sitting on the floor wearing a strait jacket, sporting some stitches across her forehead while she rocks back and forth jibbering to herself…
Ah well, one can dream… :-)
