Adam: Come on, kids. We're going to wash the cars! Laura: I've put your swimsuits out, so get changed and come help! Katy: You do know that we're not contractually obligated to honor your request. Laura: And you know we're not contractually obligated to give you any of those bomb pop we bought. Katy: One moment, we need to confer. Laura: I understand. Take all the time you need. Clayton: (But there's no precedent!) Katy: Your terms have been deemed acceptable. But we reserve the right to start a water fight at any time. Adam: Okay. With one stipulation. No more "Perry Mason" reruns for you two.

We’ve washed the car like that before - without the negotiations, of course.

No fair having Laura change into something skimpy and then hiding her once the sudsy water starts flying.

Is Will Laura’s brother-in-law? I certainly hope she wouldn’t do him.

No worries, ElDo, I got your reference but I’m not sure you got mine. The car-wash scene in “Cool Hand Luke.”
“Give it a rest Dragline, you’re just makin’ it worse for everybody.”
“Looka dat. Oooooh, she got no idea what she’s doin’.”
“She knows EXACTLY what she’s doin’.”

Oh, then you much watch it again, and soon. The car wash scene is what sets up Luke’s fight with Dragline.

Fantastic film. I probably ought to move it into my Top 10, but there are already 12 movies on that list and it’s getting kind of crowded.

“Citizen Kane” you ought to see if only so you can say you’ve seen it. It’s a film I admire more than one I enjoy.
The only Kubrick film in my Top 10 is “Spartacus” (these are my favorites, not necessarily what I consider “best”). But, however many films on my list, and however I decide to rank them depending on my mood, the top spot always goes to “Casablanca.”

It’s 100 degrees today, and supposed to reach that again tomorrow. Bring on the water fight!
