Alice: Ah. This is my favorite place. Away from everybody. No Dill, no Petey, no Miss Bliss, no stuff I have to do, no stuff I can't do! If I lived in this shrub like a Tarzan person, who'd care what I did? Nobody! Nobody'd know what I did in my Tarzan shrub! I could do stuff all day and nobody would pay attention to me at all! Then - Um... This is my favorite place! Everybody watch me dance! Dill: Psst. There's a spider on Alice's head. Beni: Don't tell her - it'll make her dance more interesting.

It’s hard to be alone 4 long when attention is what you crave…

Shrub-Tarzan person:lonely::Alice&spider:center of attention. It’s logically inevitable.

Yeah, I had places like that when I was a kid. But then you have to go to the bathroom.

I knew there was something wrong with those fist few panels.

I have been in the proverbial shrub bush most of my life…I like it in there.

I definitely had my hide-hole. Still do, actually even though most people think I’m an outgoing guy.

I hide in the library. No one there but pervs watching porno and homeless keeping warm. But if I leave the audio-visual behind and go to the stacks, peace and quiet.
Bushes are nice, but as Alice will soon find, you share them with creepy-crawlies.

HectorGonzalez, I did my part and wrote to Lincoln Journal Star.
I lived in Lincoln (we called it stinkin’ lincoln) back in the 1960’s. I’ve always thought it was a good place to be from!

Wouldn’t her dance be more interesting if Dill DID tell her?

cdward, you have to have somewhere to go out from to be outgoing!

My thoughts exactly, DonVanni. Alice could be the next Lola Montez.
(I don’t know whether that means Dill would be the next Franz Liszt, but Andre could make a passable Ludwig I of Bavaria.)

Everybody needs a shrub in their life…a place where a few little bugs are nothing compared to the big things that bug us elsewhere.

Things happened to everyone before coming to Earth… many were hurt physically, however most were tormented mentally by these people who created them… (related to hair-color…. blonde, brown, black, gray and white haired people were less tormented, however redheads were the most tormented)
NOW you can talk to “HIM” about the big and little things that bug you …. as often as you like
You are not alone in this life…… “HE” will always be there for you!

She looks very Peanuts-esque in the third panel.
