the Houses of Parliament (history, or pub quizzes in general, must not be Chalkie’s strong point).

Mrs. O’Leary’s cow. Wait!—wrong fire. Probably an ancestor of said cow.

    Bon Jour, Affie

Wish I could start off with a witty comment about today’s ANDY but it’s just a rehash of an old joke. As Homer Simpson would say " Duh ! "

I prefer not to dwell on unpleasant things from the past so I didn’t pick up on your avatar. But in answer, yes I have embarked and disembarked ( usually from a ridiculously low altitude ) from choppers but not that particular type.

Will be keeping Connie in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there !

The gag writers appear to have switched their reject pile for their usable pile……It’s the ol’ “Who’s buried in Grant’s Tomb” joke, which wasn’t funny back when Grant was alive, either!

at risk of being off topic I’d like to respond to the people who (sadly) have troubles on their plate right now. I Ching/Chinese book of changes (wilhelm& baynes) told me / I asked: “what thought can I put in my head when everyone & everything is failing? Hexagram 11 Peace : “imagine heaven on earth rejuvenating all things” thoughts have energy. what you hold in thought “exists” for the time you hold that thought and if there is not too much resistance in your environment It Will Materialize” Imagine heaven on earth, it’s like springtime rejuvenating all things; an end to all feuds. if what I think about is going to show up let me keep my thoughts (only) on things I want to see. Best wishes to all of you.

Well, Cappers. Something special arrived in the post today. My provisional driving licence. It arrived in exactly a week. As you can see, I have blanked out my personal details. Not for everybody’s eyes.

    Here it is:
