That can’t happen with my wife, she has trouble seeing distance while I need glasses to read. My problem is my sunglasses, when I can’t find them, they are usually on the top of my head ! ! ! !
That’s the good thing about being blind in one eye and not being able to see out of the other.I never misplace my glasses, since they are always on my face.
We both wear the same strength readers, and have several pair each. Theoretically, they are scattered around the house, but usually all six pair are in the same spot.
I generally don’t wear glasses after my cataract surgery a few years ago; however, I do have several pair of reading glasses distributed around the house for those occasions where the light is just a bit dim…

Luckily I live by myself. Just a few weeks ago, I got new glasses and a back-up pair.

This assumes that you have the same angles of astigmatism. Nothing like getting hold of the wrong glasses and really being distorted!!!
