Poor Nate; all he needs is a shot of hormones and a growth spurt. In real life, he’d get them soon enough. But in the comic strip, I guess he’ll always be right before the onset of puberty. A young man trapped in a boy’s body, as it were.

That redhead with the nice lipstick is tall – for a 7th grader – and might be feeling a bit out of place. To compensate she appears to be bored. Nate might have passed his kindred spirit. How cool would THAT have been to dump tRudy for the hot volleyball star 7th grader who snubs the snobs with the best of them.

I know where this is going. He’s going to sneak out and get into Dee Dee’s party. But I don’t think escaping will be easy.

I wish there was a thumb-up icon so we could agree/like a comment. Oh well….. Liked many of the observations, especially Isle of Blue Dolphins’s speculation on Nate’s kindred spirit — though I’m still a Trudy supporter. : )
