Pier pressure… That’s when your boat hits the pier….

Don’t give a chit what that squirrel is saying, Poncho, and ignore that dung beetle; who knows what he’s been doing lately.

Go for it Ponch… try a little adventure.

Not if you don’t hightail it back to your mama, Ponch.

He’s going to venture out - got to find Nocturna after all.

Porcho, in your future life you’ll at least learn that bugs can be eaten with impunity, but I’m afraid this encounter has set the tone for ALL the squirrels you’ll ever meet.

It’s only a long life in dog years. Think people years.

Yeah, but whatever happened to Whitey and the worming? Is he OK? Did someone decide to love him and take him into their lives? One can only hope……

Not so, Fritz. Taz (my mini Rat terrier) ate a water bug in his early years and spent the next three days puking. ;o)

In other strips, we’ve seen Poncho eating bees, earwigs, perhaps others. It’s rarely a pleasant experience for him, but he’s never been deterred from eating others. Squirrels, on the other hand, have had his number from day one. Although he’s a male dog, they treat him as their b_ _ _ _.

Whitey is now white as a ghost. R.I.P.

this is a fabulous scene, with the heavy wood door, the tilted horizen, the long wind grass, and the earth’s colors: makes you realize the truth of home and outer space.
