Oh, so true, if you want to eat food while it’s hot! At Thanksgiving, I did a fairly good job of organizing. I decided to serve buffet-style, so set out the serving dishes (and utensils) where I wanted to have them placed. Put a sticky note with the name of the dish on the table at that spot. Then when everyone helped to get things on the table, they could easily find the place to put it (and put it in, if need be). The buffet (folding) table was in one end of the kitchen, on the way to the dining room, so fairly convenient, without being in the way. Just wished there wasn’t an ice storm moving in that afternoon, so we could have enjoyed more time together after the meal.
