Way back when, we had a new teacher for math, and she came in with guns blazing (our class had something of a reputation…)
We quickly learned that it didn’t pay to antagonize her, and shortly after that, with control of the class assured, she mellowed and turned out to be one of the best teachers I’ve ever had - we learned a lot that year.
I remember. And Miss Crabtree turned out to be a young, beautiful blonde with a finger-wave hairdo. (THAT hair reference makes ME old) All the boys fell in love with her.
I think the Hansel and Gretel witch lived in a candy house and tempted the children that way? Also, I think when we picture evil witches it is more the wicked witch of the west in the Wizard of Oz (it has been seen by so many generations that even my neighbor’s grandchildren know the movie). The characters in Harry Potter were Wizards; however, they also had their good and evil (Dumbledore and Harry vs. Voldemort and his cohorts).
My daughters go to school with a Crabtree family, and all the Mrs and Miss Crabtrees are magazine cover material, and very nice to talk to. I don’t know how they’d be as teachers, though.

@TigerPurr I have been saying that for weeks. The way he is going by next year he should be completely bald, with just the fringe of hair all around.

Not saying I am old, but I remember the Little Rascals complaining about a new teacher named Miss Crabtree.

Guys remember when Ms. Crabtree’s brother was visiting and the boys thought he was a guy wanting to marry their teacher and take her away?
They said she had a wooden leg!
They also stole the brother’s clothes while he was at the swimming hole.
LOL
