    Before they were called chalkboards, they were called blackboards, since they were made of slate, which is a black rock. Green came in by the time my kids were in school. I haven’t checked out any classrooms lately.

    It would turn your spine to butter and you would just puddle on the floor. That was an enhanced interrogation technique that actually was outlawed and everyone respected the ban.

    Today’s kids all love chalk for sidewalk art! And, yes, black/chalkboards are still in use. Great cartoon!
