Best way to do it. We went to the SPCA years ago to get a dog for my son. There were many dogs there, but they all were just lying around paying no attention, except for one who was sitting up watching everything going on. We got her and never regretted it. We put her doghouse next to a tree. She could jump up on the top of the doghouse (like Snoopy, seriously) and climb to the fork of the tree and keep watch on the backyard…
I had already looked at twenty cats and kittens when I went into a room at the humane society that held two kittens. Raz walked straight over to me and announced she was going to be my new cat. Not one to be easily swayed by talking cats, I looked at another ten before I realized she was right. Eight years have passed and neither of us have any regrets. :)
