Phooey on the nay-sayers. My mother didn’t think my eldest brother’s marriage would last, neither did my dad since they got married so young (my brother was only 18). They’ve been married 52 years. My mother didn’t think my marriage would last (but she was always verbally abusive of me) and we’ve been married 39 years. I didn’t think my sister’s marriage would last but she’s been married nearly 30 years (I didn’t think he’d put up with her so long). It’s good we were all wrong.
