On our drive back from our honeymoon (Washington DC & Lancaster PA) we stopped in Atlantic City NJ which had its first casino open that year just to see one. We have gone an average of twice a year to there or CT casinos since then – 36 years – I have never put a bet down – waste of money – nice buffet restaurants though. Husband used to play $4 in nickels in the slot machines – last 20 years, he doesn’t play either.
Neither of us has ever bought a lottery ticket. Want to get get $10, 000 from the lottery? okay, say you pay $10 a week normally. That is $520 a year. In 20 years you have spent $10,400. Don’t spend it and you have saved/made the same. What you could you buy with another $10,000?

Five numbers hers in FL gets a pretty nice check. Yesterday’s was $9200 plus.
