The Jefferson girl got called for charging for getting clothes-lined while trying to box out?

Kenzie draws a charging foul while doing her Al Jolson impression. Pretty awesome.

What a thug-looking coach. I wonder if the artist was thinking of making the drawing look like a person in particular.

The girl to the left of the angry gang member, er, coach in P1 looks to be about as tall as Menzie.

Suddenly, Menzie is making foul shots from all directions in P2. Every gym I played in rolled up the side baskets before the game started. I guess nobody told Menzie not to shoot at those. Jefferson has a reputation for being a tough place to play judging by those crooked hoops.

Menzie unchained in P3. I like that she takes a charge like a man instead of the way those flopping wusses in the NBA do it. The floppee, on the other hand (And this strip is all about the hands.) isn’t going to feel so hot when she hits the deck. It looks like the girl behind Menzie is coming in to take a shot at her from behind.

In all reality , P 1 it’s a shame that Jefferson’s coach has to speak using a voice box . Jefferson player in P 3 tries to deliver a flying drop kick to Kenzie

I guess that Neal finds it mundane to say swish!, got it!, string music!, etc.. Bingo!? Makes me think of the “Better Call Saul” episode when Jimmy McGill is calling out numbers for the bingo game in the nursing home.

I predicted she’d hit the free throws today! I’m a genius! Or at least my IQ is above 60.

Charging? That’s the foul where you hit someone’s arm with the back of your neck, right?

Since the player simply bounced of Menzie and she never even flinched, I don’t think they would called a charge. Instead they would just call traveling or let the play go on? And speaking of traveling, you should travel over to Mopped Up Thorp and see what’s going on there.

Panel three really confused me until I read the comments. I thought that was two Jefferson players. One standing and one falling straight back with her upper body behind the ball. I couldn’t understand how Jethrine’s arm was behind the one still standing or how that girl would have been there. I thought it actually looked like she was smacking the girl on her back.

Poor form on the slide tackle in P2. Though I’m not sure attempting a slide tackle in a basketball game is charging.

Based on P3, I get the impression that if you fired bullets at Kenzie, they would also bounce off.

What is the second girl from the left looking at in panel one?

@Ellisburkes – don’t underestimate the size f his project. It would have been GRAND. He only told of the 500 (half a league).

I’m going to be really pissed if Andrea doesn’t come back in for Kenzie before the game is over. TKAM-level pissed.
