What finally fixed it was a device that Private Vic D’ Mone invented, with help from the farmer’s plow team, hence the term. He named it Victor ’n Ox.

Ugh! The mere thought of their metal “toothpick” makes my teeth hurt. I can imagine uses for it as a hole punch, which is maybe what it really is, but never as a toothpick.

pcolliYou beat me to that one, but the uniform, rank, and especially helmet don’t look anything like Swiss; they never had tanks (wheeled armored cars are faster on level and neither can climb an Alp)..Linux0sOnly the officer’s model has a corkscrew, I think ORs only get beer..Bruno ZeigertsGermany considered invading Switzerland in WW-II. Abwehr estimated the cost at 60 divisions of casualties and nothing gained but sabotaged hydroelectric plants and precision machinery. Oh well, everyone needs a designated neutral, if for no other reason than a place to hide the war profits..
