M.I.I.L.F. = Midwest Image Intellect & Lutefisk Front as 1961sg (and the strip itself) stated. I put periods in to make it clearer. NOT to be confused with MILF (Mother I’d Like to F***), which is why Bruno & Steven are getting porn sites.
There was some other lead-up to this in earlier strips. I believe BB made up the hacking since the pic is in his style or possibly mocking an actual hacking/complaint (I don’t know which).
Don’t really enjoyed bigoted views of stereotypes. Of course, that’s what popular culture is becoming lately. As long as we can stereotype someone, it suddenly becomes ok to hate them.
The Donald has hired the M.I.I.L.F. to destroy all of his enemies. Berkeley is number one. Jeb Bush is number two. The Hair Club for Men is number three. Yeah, they really messed up that transplant back in the ’80s.
Hard to tell if questions in comments are serious or not, but it seems like a lot of people don’t get this “MIILF” thing.
As far as I know, MIILF started showing up in Bloom County 2015 last week. It is a thing that BB has made up. He is pretending that it is a protest group called the “Midwest Image, Intellect & Lutefisk Front”. In other words, a group dedicated to promoting the image, intellectual reputation, and lutefisk of the midwest. In short, they are mad as hell about the midwest being called flyover states, etc., and they are (supposedly) perpetrating various bits of cyber civil disobedience to get their point across. Part of the gag is that BB is claiming that his facebook page has been taken over by MIILF. Another part of the gag is that if you google MIILF you will almost certainly be bombarded with porn sites related to MILF — for there is no such thing as MIILF for google to give you information about.
Why do so many people seemingly devoid of a sense of humor read Bloom County 2015? Irony; sarcasm; parody; burlesque; satire; lampoon…. All these and more, served up with witty cartoons by BB!
