So, Robin Hood steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Yep. But he has a really nice home in the woods, a huge entourage. Like, a lot of money must go to overhead. Well sure no organization is perfectly efficient. And Robin Hood is only in charge because of heredity. He claims noble blood. So he's a self-appointed autocrat obstructing trade, taking money for himself, then giving a pittance to the poor for P.R. reasons. Uh... It's genius! Hey! You better not be considering a career in finance over there! But Daaaad! No son of mine!

Darn modern kids! We just can’t keep any nice legends, anymore. They turn them all into examples of greed or psychosis!

Actually, the entourage was composed of the poor, refugees from the law mostly. That should give it a good modern slant.
