So where’s mama dog and the hand that holds the kibble bag? Porcho/Poncho puppy can’t stay AWOL much longer without somebody coming to fetch him. His sib’s must be wondering where he’s at don’tcha think?? Maybe not. Maybe he’s just destined to be an orphan for now. I know, I’m going to have to stay tooned.

Like the tip of the hat to a great comic that no longer exists, Lucky Cow.

I suspect that the “Lucky Cow” name is a coincidence and not a tribute to the defunct comic which, while not brilliant, was generally reliable and didn’t deserve to die nearly as much as certain other strips.
(I’ll be culling my subscriptions across three comic services in a few weeks. Already on the chopping block: FBOFW, Momma, Nancy, Beetle Bailey, and 8 others.)

Awesome tip o’ the hat, Paul! FYI, pschearer -
the “Lucky Cow” reference was probably intentional, as the two cartoonists admire eachother’s work and are friends “Not brilliant”?? Sorry, have to totally disagree with you there. I loved every strip, it was better than just about everything else. I was sorry to see it go, but glad it went while it was still awesome - others, I agree, probably ought to be put out of their misery.
