I would not laugh too much. The Christian conservatives could take over the country. They could have a very conservative Supreme court that empowers voter suppression, lock up anybody alternative lifestyles, wage war where ever they feel like it, and eliminate all social programs so they can beef up the defense budget. The could save money be eliminating OSHA and use it to build a wall and beef up ICE and deport anyone who is not a “natural born American” and a few more they don’t like. Creationism would replace science in school. Global warming would be a thing of the past. Just think of all the possibilities when they are able to be as repressive as they desire.
You would think with the long election cycle they could have a series on one on one real debates on topics that most Americans are actually concerned about rather than the contrived issues used to divert and divide.
The Democrats are able to debate each other – they don’t blame the forum or the moderators, they don’t snipe – too much. More and more as the campaign wears on. They hash out the issues and say where they stand. The right whines about each other, the democrats, the stage, the moderators, the voters, foreigners, women, the war on . They don’t show up for the debates, pretend to be Christian (during the election cycle), wreck foreign relations, cry terrorism, down play the amazing recovery of this great country, battle to be the most racist and generally blast out any chance that they will support each other as they drop out of the race.
For those who missed the debate, it took a really savage tone. Trump called Bush a poopie head. Bush came back at him with, “you’re a doo doo breath,” to which Trump replied, “I know you are, but what am I.” Bush cleverly responded, “Oh Yeah.” Then Trump said that if Bush thought he was ugly, his mother was uglier to which Bush came back with “at least my mother didn’t mate with an orangutan”. Then they started spitting at each other at which point they were put into time out Wow! Fireworks.
