emptc12: P.S. for yesterday: I, too, use Rose Is Rose as a go-to to feel good. This strip is just wholesome and funny in the best way.
Does anybody remember a few years back, The Sharper Image Catalog offered a $32,000 miniature sports car for kids 8-10??? (Or maybe it was Hammacher-Schlemmer. . .those two catalogs are always good for a head-shaking laugh at over-the-top stuff. . .)
Our daughter had a little car that had a long handle so that the parent could push it along comfortably. When our second daughter was born, we used that exclusively instead of a stroller or baby buggy for the older one; I’d “wear” the baby while pushing the older. It was great! It’s now living a new life at our neighbor’s in-home day care.
We got one just like Mimi’s for our granddaughter and her Auntie was pushing her on our walk in the back yard. Wefinally noticed the toe of the granddaughter’s sock was bloodyShe never complained but we taught her to put her feet up on the dash. Solved that problem. She’s 25 and still goes bare foot!

Some guy engineered his kids car to do 25MPH. Don’t know if the kid is still surviving.
