Eventurally he’ll get mad and tell her he’d rather do the cartooning club.

A little make-out time will perk Nate right up…

Nate needs to tell Trudy about his other priorities and try to get her to join him with his friends some of the time. right now he keeps doing what she wants and doesn’t get to do what he wants.

Before you guys start judging Trudy and saying she’s ruining Nate’s friendships, remember that Nate had already made a commitment to go roller skating and just forgot. If he wanted to go to the meeting, he should have just told Trudy he forgot. This is no one’s fault but his own.

And Lincoln I swear if they break up…

Oh, the many compromises required of a relationship :)

Here we go again.

This is a perfect study of “dating by the numbers”, i.e., choosing a boyfriend / girlfriend not because of how much you like them or have in common but because they have a significant number of “checklist” items: good-looking, rich, cool, in Nate’s case a 7th grader. It’s cool for a while but wears thin really fast.

I understand that Trudy wants to be with Nate and have fun together but sometimes she should let Nate do what he would like to do

Why wouldn’t she understand, that a once in a life time opportunity came up and go with him to that? He should have had the guts to bring it up, right?

While I’m always a stickler for keeping your word regarding prior-made commitments you’ve made no matter HOW much more fun another option may be, if Trudy runs off with her friends and leaves Nate alone to fend for himself yet AGAIN, then he should seriously consider breaking up with her because doing that only demonstrates on her part just how selfish and self-absorbed she truly is . . . not to mention how really uncaring she seems to be regarding her boyfriend and HIS feelings too.

As for Nate, if Trudy has the nerve to abandon him again like she did at the 7th grade party, then by all means, he should just go ahead and feel free to leave and go do his own thing with HIS friends for a change rather than continue sticking around like he did before, waiting for her to come back and show interest in him again. If she likes him, then she needs to show it. And if she doesn’t (except whenever it suits her), then she needs to do him the favor by letting him go because jerking him around when she knows how much he likes her simply isn’t the right or fair thing for her to do.

Sigh Nate, you have a voice, right? Tell her that you need some of your own time to be yourself and not to always be with her… but this is middle school love, so it has to be this conflicting XD lol

The word for today is, "COMPROMISE " A word that is not in 7th. grader Trudy is not in her vocabulary. Too bad.

Hang in there Nate. She is the best thing that’s happened in your short life. Don’t let it go.

The people working there are trying to be hip with today’s lingo.

I think Nate might break up with Trudy because he can’t do anything else HE wants.

Guess it’s another round of “Ha! Ha!” “What fun!” “I know!!” Geeze-Louise!!

You guys are acting like Trudy FORCED Nate to go with her; she didn’t. She had no way of knowing Nate is missing out on a lifetime, and if she did, she probably, (hopefully), would have let him go.
