I typically wear out my jeans over my pockets with Leatherman, keys (multiple sets) and change (I prefer to pay cash). Those areas are a little harder to patch. Any ideas (aside from calico).
Shorts are something I guess I am always going to be “boy” enough to wear. Wearing them is one of the nicest ways to feel it is finally Summer in my very northern climate. And, yes, I will sometimes cheat and wear shorts when the thermometer first breaks 50 after an especially cold, tiresome Winter. As for length, my “cut-offs” are always above the knee. They need to be as that is where most of my wear shows (and on the cuffs). But, that said, I do actually also like the “professionall” made shorts that extend below the knee. Both are nice. Finally, the “cut-offs” do not have to be only dungarees (more enjoyable term for blue jeans). I make cut-offs from any worn trousers (yes, I too like that word much better than pants) I have…. cords, dress trousers, etc.
Oh! And having a CAN of beer while wearing cut-offs is the exactly proper accessory (often you may need a few accessories :) ). Normally, I prefer to drink my beer in glass bottles, but a can just feels right then.
My hubs legs have never seen the light of day. His mother thought anybody wearing shorts was obscene. She’s been dead for years, but he still won’t wear them.

that is if the knee holes are big; just patch them if they’re small like I do

The jeans with the holes are more expensive in the stores than the ones without . .

Only owned one pair of jeans in my lifetime. When I got rid of them several years ago, they were holy…
