Studies show that it takes a lot less torque to tighten a bottlecap than is used in today’s bottling plants. Overtightening is just plain sloppy design and a don’t-care attitude.
Hot water helps as well. But.. it helps to have a strap wrench in the drawer to help when the wife is not looking. .Packaging has become nearly impossible to get into.. Hunk or not..

My wife thinks I am a hunk, but when she tells me that, she normally adds “of” with some sort of nasty substance being named.
