I look at all the pretty new wash rags and towels in the stores, but buy ours at the thrift store. They absorb better, and are way softer when they are well used! Nothing like a well used towel and wash rag for softness! And we bought that pack of wash rags at Ross and use them instead of kitchen towels! Great idea! They take up less room, soak up more spills, and are great for wiping wet hands on! Who needs kitchen towels?
How many times did I hear ‘use it up, wear it out, re-purpose something, do with out’ from my parents and grandparents? Obviously lots since it still pops to mind regularly.

Put a hem on it after you cut it up and it will last 3 times as long.

Even my mother never did this. They became cleaning rags.

Nothing wrong with recycling. They become cleaning rags when they are too worn to be wash cloths.

How can you call that a trump hair piece? Trump had a woman pull on it. She couldn’t pull it off. Now, she is a part of the Trump organization.
