SweetBill….latest news is that they were last seen in Arkansas robbing a beauty salon. He dyed his hair, and she bleached hers. Go figure!!!! That’s 1600 miles from Glacier where they were last sighted.

    Stay tuned…..

    Super frustrated, gang…..

This is just another night of heavy cloud cover. Can’t see the Persoid meteor shower again! Tonight was the optimum viewing night. But, hopefully, we’ll be able to see something as we exit the trail……..within the next two weeks. we did see two really bright meteorites last week….before all our thunderstorms. They even seemed to be skipping into our atmosphere. Very exciting!!!

Hey, y’all. I just read that the cartoonist who does Cathy is retiring. Hooray! Yippee! Now I wish Momma would get cancelled.

Slim, now I’m condemned to hear Sinatra in my head all day. Or is that blessed?

Try this one (from a Glen Miller oldie):

If I didn’t know that the roses grow, Then I wouldn’t know that the roses grow.

(IMHO one of the dumbest lines ever written!) Oh, no! Now I’ve got that unnamed tenor voice in my head!!!

Those songs that get in your head and are unshakeable for long periods of time. popping into your head again and again are called “ear worms”. I have problems with them myself. :-))

JanCinVV: That was “Jukebox Saturday Night” in which the Glen Miller singers mimiced and parodied several other singers. The one you quoted was a parody of the Ink Spots.

very good brownceb. I have a Glen Miller CD in my car player and that’s one of the songs (along with Pennsylvania 6-5000, Chatanooga Choo-Choo and, of course, In the Mood). Love It! And yes, it pre-dates me by a few years. I could quote all of the words of C C-C if you want…….

    @ JanCinVV:

Actually, I was thinking of Louie Prima and Keeley Smith. Had the album back in ‘58-59. I really liked their verson of “That Old Black Magic”.. They heat it up!

One of my very own favorites…

Kate Smith sings, “God Bless America”…

Very patriotic! I was a young child when I first heard it.

Interesting find over on yesterday’s. Jenny”..

Down towards the bottom of the comments is a long one critisizing the comments and be-littling the strip.

The next comment is from the guy that does the strip. who without acturally using the word, called the critic a hypocrite’

The critics displsy name is flanders22. He sounds like an old ‘“friend” of ours, LS?

Ah, never mind. You mean Yenny.

I’ve never read that one before.

I’m pretty sure “flanders22” is no one that I knew.
