Well, certainly true. You’d think some guy who little would be named mutt. since its the express “little mutt.”
I used to have the same problem with Laurel and Hardy and still do with Abbott and Costello. I never had trouble distinguishing George and Gracie, though.
I just have to imagine Lou Costello saying ” Hey Abbot!” to sort out which is which.
I have trouble telling Joe and Obama apart. Well actually no, Joe usually has his foot in his mouth.
I differentiate Laurel from Hardy by thinking hearty/big…thus Laurel was left.
