C’mon Caulfield. You ran out of pencil. (And, generally, as you get older you automatically run out of lead for your pencil.)

Never happened.Erasers get chewed off long before the pencil is finished.

Who uses a pencil these days. Gel pen is the only way to write or do crosswords.
