I think children who are allowed to get muddy and dirty have stronger immune systems when they grow up. It’s unscientific to say, but it worked for me.
I’ve told my grand-nieces, “If you’re not dirty you’re not trying,” but it hasn’t really sunk in. Throw them into the yard to play and they are clueless. The only way they play outside is if their iPods have a full charge and are still in WiFi range.

You aren’t the only one who’s done that Gil. When my mom would ask why my response was “Because I’m a boy!” Yeah, earned me a trip to the tub too.
