Happy Saint Pat’s Day to all! What’s the special at the Tiki today?.BTW: You guys really did it well last month. Super Bowl Sunday (The Sherriff said he’s release me on my own recog but I turned it down because I didn’t trust myself) Fat Tuesday (I thought the beads covered everything; sorry). Valentines Day (I apologize to you Mrs. Higenlooper, er Chickenscooper er, whoever). President’s Day (who got me to wear the Millard Filmore costume?).
Poor Scooter, with hearing waaaay better than humans, that has to be really hard to deal with. Besides, he tried to play fetch with one of those cannon balls and nearly broke his teeth.
Although St. Patrick’s Day is for the amateur Irish, and most professional drinkers Irishmen stay ta home, I’m making an exception today and will be buying drinks for one and all at the Tiki today and your all invited to a special St. Pádraig’s Party on my galleon The Irish Rover® this evening.
A note to the traditionalists :I will not be serving a New England boiled dinner ( corned beef and cabbage ) aboard ship but will be offering true Irish dishes, including lamb stew, homemade soda and treacle breads, prawns, smoked Atlantic salmon, a roast of beef and many, many other dishes that my excellent ship’s chef ( he hates to be called a cook ), Juan Garcia O’Malley, is preparing, as we speak.Needless to say there’ll be plenty of Guinness and good Uisce beatha ( Water of Life – Irish whiskey )
Just in case it was unclear…. Carl’s club.Scooter’s shooting is mostly the Western sort….He does belong to the Ballard County Canine Cowboys and Canasta Club…. Where he shoots a Colt 45 cap pistol….but, surprisingly, they don’t allow cannons.
Rose and Bev, the banana fabric is very popular, I think it could make for good curtains at the Tiki. We can offer fringes made from the banana strings but we are looking for a more durable option.
