It doesn’t matter, your Mom has veto power.

The ones whom you owe your life to will always have more power than you.

Yes, you can vote. Vociferously. But in certain times that control the voting box results, you may be only counted as 3/5 of a man (or not at all, depending on the rules in place at the time).

Funny how dictators always start talking about seeking democracy just as they are about to be de-throned.

That’s o.k., Calvin. Someday you’ll grow up and breathe the air as a free man. You’ll work your butt off. And then you’ll wish you were back in your little princedom where Mom rules.

It would still be a deadlock, and dad has the casting vote.

Good job, mom. Don’t give an inch. Cal needs to understand that life is not all about him.

In the G.R.O.S.S club (Get Rid Of Slimy girlS) Calvin is the dictator-for-life.

Huh – I always suspected that Calvin was a Republican. Suspicions confirmed.

How easily mom tucks him under her arm and carries him off. How calmly Calvin goes to his demise – no kicking and screaming. Maybe he knows he will lose anyway and took a dive at the opening bell.

I’d to ape over a treehouse and the simple life of wearing a paper hat; and being carried to bed.
