    Hope the wet puppy ear marks don’t detract from the schoolbook’s condition when he turns it in at the end of the year, but then Rover wasn’t sent out with any rain gear by their mom to meet the bus. Not that is was easy to buy pup rain gear back then

    I recall a Peanuts strip where Charlie Brown is leaving the checkout desk of the library and says to one of his friends “get a big one it is raining”

    Correct me if I’m wrong but if this strip takes place in the 1960s then the bus shouldn’t have the flashing lights and sign about stopping when lights are flashing. They didn’t have them back then…

    Some did in the late 1940s. No lights (other than the stop light in the back), but the pop-out Stop sign was connected to the same lever that opened the door.
