It’s good to see a contemporary politician taking the podium in “Shoe.” The Senator Belfry gag has been exhausted, and the model for the good senator has not been with us for more than 6 years. Given the length of time that Senator Belfry has graced these pages, I don’t think Brooks and McNelly can be accused of sexism.
“Being civil” is nothing more than a code word for “being under control” and in a society where we do feel the need to question authority, we have to do away with “being civil”, because we may never get the answers we seek when we don’t question authority as why things are done the way they are. It’s no different for those that espouse Kaisertreu and that we have to ask them why they espouse such beliefs as being loyal to the government, always following the law even when it doesn’t make sense to follow it, and compelling others to do so, usually on the grounds that it makes one a “good citizen”.And the problems with “civility” is that it allows for the bad actors in our societies to continue on in their bad acts, such as “pedophile priests” and the religious hierarchy that seems to want to hide the fact that they are still out there, politicians and police officers still “on the take” and getting their “palms greased” along with those who are all too willing to “grease those palms” in the first place to get what they want done. And as people in this society, sometimes we do have ask ourselves why some, if not most, are so willing to put up with the nonsense and the corruption in our own daily lives and if we can’t get an answer by “being civil” we may need to seek out that answer by not “being civil”.
Sometimes you do need to be insulted at times in order for you to understand my point, and if I need to be coarse in ensuring that you understand my point, good for me.“Civility” is used by the ignorant people out there to control others around them and subject those people to the ingnorance.Sometimes, nobody is willing to listen until the first insult is hurled followed by the first punch and even the first rock being thrown. And if it means that we have to upset the order of things to make change possible, so be it!

I think Dovetail’s campaign is about to tailspin.

Because we became a National Enquirer, Shout Show, and Reality Show culture. Civility and truth have lost their appeal.
