I doubt that I would stay “best friends” with someone who gave me wedgies.

This is proof that he’s growing up (and getting older!).

Nate does see kind of taller in the third panel, but that may just be because Francis is leaning down.

Hmmm…mature as in “I’m not chasing after Jenny 24/7”?

    I’m cool with that.

Wish we could get Trudy´s point of view on the break up, and in my oppinion it is a waste of possibly the best set up character so far. At least if she isn´t used more ofc, but as said before one can´t allways get their way. :)But I am kind of worried about Nate and his long term memory, I know it. Being an “issue” with schoolwork but would hope what he learned from the seventh graders was not how to act, and basicly just be who he is +/- growing up some – since those seventh graders tried acting way older than they were looking down at others “below” them.Sidenote – allways looks odd with those eyes in third panel. :D

No, the difference between a what Nate does to his friend – and they to him – and a bully is the intention. A bully would do it to cause harm, intimidation – in some cases terror – to anyone weaker than the bully. Nate does it to his friends (vice versa) because they know either of them can handle the treatment, and if they should happen to go over the line they would make it up to them ten fold – and similar would go against those against you to help you

O please please PLEASE let him NOT gestate some fresh jones-4-jenny!! NOBODY needs that, especially since he’s gotten his feet wet in the slightly deeper water……

Don’t see Nate as a bully, he only picks on his friends and when they get him back he’s okay with that (as much as a sixth grader can be). Also there was an arc awhile back that dealt with bullying. I would need to go back and reread it but I seem to remember Nate tackling that issue with Francis and Teddy.

I’m guessing that Jenny’s appearance two days ago is the last that she will ever be making. I wonder why people disliked the Jenny and Nate strips so much: I myself always really enjoyed them. I find unrequited love more fun and interesting to read about than requited love. But that’s just me :)

Even at old age, we all still have a youthful sense.
