I’m betting that Mr. Rod scarfed $40 from the till, and neglected to tell Baldo. It happened to me when I was 15.

Would never happen in real life.

Has anyone else noticed that cashiers today can’t make change correctly, and don’t count it back to the customer. They can’t add and subtract. ! If the register didn’t tell them what amount was due back to the customer, they’d be lost.

now he’s off to check the video footage. And while it could be Mr Rod, or an honest mistake, it could also be his nephew (who was hired to sleep in the back room iirc.)
