    Scooter’s not a dog who is easily forgotten…and he won’t let you forget him even if you could.

    He has a knack for getting his own way….

    And obviously, a strong affinity for water…or is that just an affinity for getting people wet?

    One way or another…he always makes sure he leaves his mark.

    A spit-take is a comic technique in which someone spits a beverage out of his or her mouth when he or she reacts to a statement. In this context, the word “take” is used in the sense of taking in information. It is similar in construction to the phrase “double-take.”

    I have to admit, of all the dogs in Ballard, my favorite is Scooter, although Rusty Boy comes a close second for pure orneriness.

    We don’t consider Fenton, our illustrious bartender at the TikI, in the same category. He is far superior to those vagabonds and bounders roaming Ballard Street. Besides, Fenton doesn’t consider himself a dog. He thinks of himself as a Canus Superioris !

    He certainly is worth more than the meagre kit and kibble that he is currently being paid. I think we need to speak to Susan who will sweet talk to Munky about giving our favorite bartender a well deserved raise.

    Of course, if certain people were to tip better, ( Yes, you all know who we’re talking about ), perhaps Fenton would be able to afford that little cottage on Ballard Lake that he’s been wanting for so long.

    Just sayin’….

    Myron begins to wonder if Scooter is harboring some resentment over the recent switch to generic dog food…

    @SusanSunshine

    Living in the land of llamas ( actually, that really is Peru ) I can tell you from personal experience ( most of which came from I guy I knew in Sedona, Ariz. that used them for backpacking/hiking tours ) compared to camels, llamas are lovers.Yes the can be stubborn. Yes, they, like camels spit, but they possess a much more pleasant nature than their dromedary cousins.

    And they smell better !
