Possibly my all-time favorite Andy episode is one where Andy is leaving in a huff, suitcase in hand, and Flo is sobbing into her hankie. Then a passing stranger asks her “Do you know Andy Capp?” Flo replies, “I SHOULD do, I’ve been studying dramatics under him for twenty odd years!” That one proved that they’re both essentially playing roles. They both know Andy will be back!
