Bruno, that’s what I was thinking too….Right out of the chute a major pun….The look on the bear’s face, and the attitude of the bear is great. I love the concept of a polar bear arguing a point…Not exactly what they’re known for……

Wiley, I forgot to compliment you on having Pauly jump off Eddies shoulder and run away the other day…Nice touch…It really cracked me up…I can’t remember him moving much…..

Such topics tend to break the ice at parties (or melt, in this case).

They aren’t polar opposites, though. They are polar equals. They provide opposition to equatorial warming, absorbing the heat produced by the more direct sunlight striking the equatorial, tropical and temperate regions. As they cool the circulating seas, they reduce water vapor production and thus cause inland aridity, which increases the production of thermal energy from solar energy. This degrades their heat sink capabilities, which will cause the seas to warm and generate water vapor, pushing it into far reaches and amassing as fresh water inland glaciers, improving the heat sink capabilities of the higher latitudes and pushing their effect into lower latitudes by extrusion. This reduces the surface area able to convert solar energy into thermal energy and increases the surface area converting thermal energy into kinetic energy. One may say it does not, however. One may be wrong.

The first necessary step to ending a republic is to convince people that anything “political” is off-limits for polite conversation. We should be ready for the second necessary step any day now.

Well, letting the natural of the equator solve the tangle of opposites.

What happens to North and South? Do they flip when the Earth flips into it’s new equator? (Sometime next year….the Mayan (long count) Calendar forgot Leap Year) B-)

Penguins range north almost to the equator, so the bear is the one who is out of place, unless he’s at a zoo. He’s just goin’ with the floe.

Someone’s got to say it, I guess it’s my job. Penguins and Polar Bears are not predator and prey. They live at opposite ends of the Earth, have never seen each other, and wouldn’t know what to do if they met. Orcas and Penguins, now that’s another story.

Perhaps we should ask our pal Linguist who is currently hiding out in Ecuador if he has seen any penguins or polar bears lately.

Well, apparently because Donald Trump hasn’t done anything sufficiently newsworthy (read outrageous) this week, NPR was reduced to discussing his days spent in wrestling on the morning news today.
