It’s nice to have a good friend.

This session should be utterly fascinating.

Was Woodstock named by this time? (I’m guessing not, because this strip was originally published May 1969 and the festival Woodstock, which I’m guessing is the bird’s namesake, was in July.)

Who’s the bird brain here?

I have always felt that it would be better to be Woodstock instead of Charlie Brown if you want Snoopy’s love.

He is first referred to as “Woodstock” on June 22, 1970. I don’t to html very well, but here is a reference to the link:

Just another quack…

There’s no real reason to think this is the future Woodstock, because Snoopy knew a whole flock of generic birds back then. (Of course, if it walks like a Woodstock and flies upside down like a Woodstock, it might be a Woodstock……)

Snoopy is many things but he’s not wise.
