So which ones is he wearing - Keds or PF Flyers. I can’t remember which it should be, and I just blew 45 minutes running searches and only found one that addressed the issue directly and it was clearly wrong as it listed both brands as the origin of the slogan.

Keds (U.S. Keds as they were called when I wore them) were from US Rubber and PF Flyers with a B. F. Goodrich product.

And batteries would have never have been considered to be involved in any way when it came to Tennis Shoes.

We called ‘em “tenner shoes”, believing they’d been invented by a “Mr. Tenner: ;<)

my granddaughter has some that have flashing lites when she runs……they run on sealed batteries. She couldn’t wait till night to see then lite up.

Performance enhancing running shoes?. There’s no such thing.

Why do I remember this useless information and can’t remember where I put my glasses?

At Parris Island we ran in our combat boots. The day of the Physical Performance Test, I put on my issued Keds. I thought I could fly. Stop watch said different.

If I remember the commercial, it would be PF Flyers that made you “run faster and jump higher”.

I think it was PF Flyers. But, whatever it was, it’s a sure bet it didn’t come from jorer.
