kind of a drag when your baby don’t love you,
kind of a drag when you know
she’s been untrue.
oh, listen
(listen to me when i’m
speakin’,’cause you know the
words i’m thinkin’)
to what i’ve gotta say;
(and i know that you’ve been
cheatin’, oh, i hope that
we’ll be
meetin’.)
girl, i still love you,
(ooh, i still love you.)
i’ll always love you
(ooh, i’ll always love you.)
anyway, anyway, anyway.
kind of a drag when your baby says good-bye,
kind of a drag when you feel like
you wanna cry.
This cartoon reminds me. While cave-man cartoons continue as a staple comics cliche, it has been years since I’ve seen a “cave-man with club dragging a woman by the hair” strip.
Coincidence or political correctness? Whaddaya think, gang?
RCMinor: NOW is still around, but they need to change their name to THEN. (Snicker.)
As for overused cliches, when has that ever stopped a cartoonist? Desert island jokes? Psychiatrist jokes? UFO jokes? Pearly Gates jokes? Mountaintop guru jokes? Without these, several strips would have to shut down completely. (Are you listening, Frank and Ernest?)

If the Fat Broad from B.C. were involved, she would be the one doing the clubbing & dragging.

Of course they drag them by the hair! If they dragged them the other way, they’d fill up with dirt.
