Hola Amigos! We got some rain today, which was nice because it was really hot. The rain made it cooler.

Howdy Shika! Definately a fall day here, cloudy, temps in the 60’s, rain, sprinkles, off and on. Tmr. is ‘sposed to be in the 80’s though! Road trippin’ today, garbage night, froze more beans, exciting day here!

Cleo Yeah, “I got me” a new digital camera too! Free gift from Office Depot so it’s not a real good one. Had for a couple months now, read the instructions, haven’t used it yet! Good enough for me to practice on though!

Hola Shika! I watched some football today and I saw “Pat and Mike” with Tracy and Hepburn. I can’t believe I never saw that movie before, it was really funny.

I bought a digital camera last Christmas. I love it.

Oh, and we had a campfire last night. Lots of fun with skits and songs and making S’mores.

I’m glad you had a great time, Shika. Did you all have nice weather throughout your retreat?

Carmy It was nice yesterday, but it rained today. the power was out in the cabins this morning.

I’ve never seen “Pat and Mike” either. Never heard of it, but I’d like to see it.

Shika, at least it didn’t rain throughout the retreat. You should see Pat amd Mike when you get a chance. I also saw a movie with James Cagney about West Point. “Curly” and “Will” from Oklahoma came out in that movie too. I don’t like marshmallows. I’ll just take the chocolate, thank you.

I haven’t seen Pat and Mike in years, but it was good! Whose Curly and Will?

No, not “came out” of the closet. I meant they also starred in the movie, Shika. Silly goose!

Dry, I’m talking about Curly and Will that came out in Oklahoma with Shirley Jones. Curly was her boyfriend and Will was her friend’s (Ado Annie) boyfriend.

Oh.I think we say “appeared” or debuted, but I may be wrong.

I think I only saw bits and pieces of Oklahoma. Musicals aren’t usually my thing. I did love the “Sound of Music” back in the day, don’t know if I could sit through it now, though. And I KNOW I could sit through “Cabaret” though!

Shika, sorry, I didn’t remember that we use different words sometimes. Appeared would be the best word to use.

I love musicals! Too many to mention though. I know some of them are long and drawn out, but most of them are pretty good. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Cabaret completely.

Part of the reason I liked “Cabaret” was because it was about the early beginnings in Berlin that led to WW2. I am a big history buff and I found it very interesting. The Revoutionary War, Civil War, American Indain history, WW1 and WW2 I find quite interesting.

Dry, I hear you. I saw a musical with Rita Hayworth that was set during the Blitz. It was a good movie, but I don’t remember the name of it.

Did you ever see “The Music Man”? That’s one of my faves.

Oh yes, I did! I forgot about that! But when I was a kid, and I loved it back then! Anything Disney did, (except for Old Yeller) I loved! He did do that one, didn’t he, the Music Man, I mean. I know he did “Old Yeller.”

In fact, my mom and dad threatened to not let me watch “Lassie” anymore when I was about 5 or 6, because I cried my eyes out every week!

I recorded The Music Man on VHS a long time ago. We still watch it every once in awhile. Old Yeller is too sad.

I used to watch Lassie, but I don’t remember crying over them. Maybe I’m not remembering correctly.

Well I was only about 5 or 6, but I remember that, and I remember Lassie was on right after Walter Cronkite and the news. And I can see the apartment we lived in so clearly! Funny the things you remember, and I haven’t thought of that in years!

Yes, it is funny about the things we remember. I remember seeing Walter Cronkite. I also remember crying during many Walt Disney movies too.

I was so worried about the Dalmations, and when Bambi’s mom died, oh my!!!! And I cried during Dumbo, but I can’t remember why!

Yes, I cried during Bambi too. I don’t remember Dumbo.

I only remember bits and pieces.

What about Lady and the Tramp or 101 Dalmatians? I know there are more, i just can’t remember the titles. Someone either dies or they make you think that they died, either way, the tears flow.

Yes, Lady and the Tramp was a great love story! (Yeah people it was a cartoon!) I have a ceramic Jacque, the Scotty dog, that I bought at Disney World sitting on my headboard. I’ve had him for many years now!

Oh, I liked the Scotty dog! I think I cried in Jungle Book when I thought Baloo was dead.

I remember Jungle Book but not that part of it.
