A long list of commenters have mentioned the inaccurate depiction of the mechanical horse’s “droppings.” It is very sad to see that no one has had the common sense to say the following instead: Throughout the (more-than-one-hundred-year) history of cartooning (done for the general public) — and right up until very recent months — almost 100% of the artists had the “class” to act like mature adults and avoid the disgusting depiction of “bathroom functions.” This was done out of respect for privacy/modesty and to teach very young readers how to properly think and speak about these topics. Now, however, there are some new-generation artists who area wallowing in the muck of degrading subject matter. Come on, Eric Scott! You have too much talent to let any of it be wasted on this immature, potty-minded rubbish. Please act like a real man, instead of a kindergartener. Thank you.

Looks more like something from a cow than from the horses that I’ve taken care of.

Cartoonist is obviously a City Slicker who can’t tell a cow pie from road apples.

Sorry ta tell ya, Scott, but that’s not horse poop. It’s more cattle. Horse is little balls about an inch and a half by an inch and a half.
