If only we paid people for what they contribute to the general welfare, teachers and garbage collectors would top the list. Pro athletes and politicians in general would be so far down the list they’d practically fall off the bottom.
And that is probably the clearest indication of all as to how America has its priorities all messed up.
Athletes wouldn’t get paid that much if there wasn’t a market and demand for them.
