@Bob Scott On an unrelated issue, you may be interested in looking at a new anime called “Kuma Miko: Girl meets Bear”, that just started 2 days ago, about a girl interacting with a big talking brown bear, due to an ancestral pact between a mountain town and a forest deity.It seems to be a kids show, but has some risqué elements that may be not apt for American tv audiences.It can be seen free on gogoanime.
Another show going around is Misha and the bear, made in Russia, and fully kid friendly, but surely you have already heard of it.
