    This is about as far back as Schulz would go in printing paperback collections of his daily strips. He didn’t think his earlier art or his characters’ personalities had settled in enough. Reminds me of Hergé’s decision not to redraw and modernise 1929’s “Tintin au Pays des Soviets” in the forties.

    Polyphonic whistling is an even more impressive accomplishment than virtuosic performances on a toy piano.
