    In Olde New England, a suitor might ride for miles to see his love. Practical people that we were, wood would not be wasted to keep them warm during the visit. A practice called “Bundling” evolved where the lass’s family would put the lovers to bed, securely sewing them apart. Twas a wonderful custom that taught many a young miss to bring a sewing needle and thread to bed.
