I keep thinking of an old New Yorker cartoon from the 1920’s, it has a young flapper holding her first child – intensely awkwardly – and asking her friend “Well, what do I do with it now?”
As an adult that’s how a man holds his wife’s purse. I am dragged out with my wife to be a coat-tree and purse-holder while she browses. I tell the little boys trailing after their moms, “Give up, kid— it never ends.”
I think that’s the way the doctor held my little brother after he was born. Come to think of it, the sawdust rushed to his head too…and never left as far as I’m concerned.

You’d make a swell father, Charlie Brown, if you did that to your child.

Looks like how some new parents, who have no right being a parent in the first place, hold their babies.

Could have been worse. The sawdust could have spilled out. That happened with some of my old stuffed animals.

Read today’s “Betty” for more about men holding their wives’ purses. Looks like CB has the same attitude about holding a doll. It’s not manly! LOL

Nobody needs to carry me this way. I can already stand on my head.
