When I was younger, I read this “Curious George” book where he swallowed a puzzle piece and had to go to the hospital. In this strip they were right there, in the book the Man with the Yellow Hat left George by himself for no real reason.
In the real world, in the unlikely event of my not dropping a piece on the floor, the cat would swat one across the room where the dog would pounce and chew it up. Many dogs will eat all paper products.

I’ve heard of dog-blamed flatulences and dog-eaten homework, but quite sure never a dog-blamed excuse like that.

If it would have been a cookie, I would have suspected Snoopy indeed, but a jigsaw puzzle piece? He has every right to be mad.
