I remember my mom was so proud when she put in the living room light fixture: three opaque glass shades, about 18" long each, that hung from the ceiling, roughly diamond-shaped. They didn’t last long with all those boys in the house; between the airplane on a fishline that they swung over their heads, the golf balls being tossed around, the sticky darts and other projectile toys that were totally acceptable in the 60s, they didn’t last long.
